Danylo comes from the artistic Denysevych family from Khotiv, Kyiv region. He wrote the poem “I am a butterfly…” at the age of twelve. Before the full-scale invasion he studied to become a film director and dreamed of making movies.
He was killed on 3 May 2023 near Bakhmut defending Ukraine. In the first VARTA novella, “Cherubs”, the poem is read by his brother Ivan Denysevych.
